Answers to Some Common Hair Extension Questions

What hair is used?

Premium grade is the highest-quality processed human hair that is available. It has such strength that it is similar in condition to virgin hair. The hair has been gently coloured to bring you a wide variety of natural-looking colours and bright colours if you are interested.

What is a Micro Weft Hair Extension?

Micro ring wefts combine both the micro ring attachment and a hair weft. Small sections of the natural hair are threaded through each tiny micro ring and then the micro ring is clamped flat to secure it in place.

Benefits of micro weaving?

One of the other benefits of micro-weaving is the time factor; a full head of extensions takes around 1-2 hours from when you walk in to when you walk out. If you are going away on holiday or just feel like you want a break from your extensions, we can take them out within 30 minutes and reinstall them for you when you are ready to have them put back in again.

How long does it take to apply a full head of Micro Weft Hair Extensions?

Application takes approximately 1-2 hours depending on your own hair and thickness.

How do I care for my extensions?

Each time you wash your hair you must dry it completely to the roots. When you sleep your hair benefits from being plaited or braided to avoid it getting matted while you sleep. You can carefully brush your hair with a tangle teaser brush which is gentle on your hair extensions.

We recommend that you use a sulphate free Shampoo and a heated protection spray to keep your extensions at their best. We have a number of suitable Shampoos, Conditioners and heat protection sprays available in the salon that would be suitable.

What does a re-lift of my extensions mean?

To re-lift your extensions the micro rings are removed, the wefts moved up and re fixed using the micro rings to make them tighter/closer to your scalp. This will need to be done every 4-6 weeks depending on how fast your hair grows.

How long do the Micro Weft Hair Extensions last?

Your extensions will remain soft, smooth and healthy for 6-12 months when maintained correctly.
